Community & Educational Projects
Alongside my picture book practice, I create workshopsand participatory art projects for children, families, schools, and community groups.
Through storytelling, drawing, painting, and collaborative making, I explore themes of home, belonging, community, imagination, resilience, and emotional expression.
REFUGEE WEEK & STORYTELLING
As part of Refugee Week 2024, I delivered storytelling and creative engagement sessions at a UK primary school and nursery. Across three assemblies, I shared a presentation, picture book reading, and discussions exploring themes of home, kindness, friendship, and belonging.
In 2026, I facilitated a Refugee Week session with a Girlguiding Rainbows group, where children responded to the story through conversation and a watercolour activity exploring the question: “What does home mean to you?”

COMMUNITY IS OUR SUPERPOWER
Created in June 2025 with children from different classes at a UK primary school, this collaborative art project explored themes of community, inclusion, and belonging. I developed and led the project from concept to final installation, guiding pupils through a shared creative process using handprints, drawing, and collective imagemaking. The finished artwork is permanently displayed in the school foyer.

Children's ART CLUB
Year 5 Watercolour Art Club — UK Primary School
In Spring and Summer 2025, I created and led a watercolour art club programme for Year 5 pupils at a UK primary school. Across a series of workshops, pupils explored colour, texture, layering, observation, and visual storytelling while developing confidence in their artistic abilities and creative expression.

FAMILY ART SESSIONS
Small-scale creative workshops designed for children and families.
These sessions encourage experimentation, imagination, and shared creative experiences through drawing, painting, collage, and paper-based activities in informal community and family settings.
